In I Love Lucy, in Season Six –the final season- Lucy and Ricky move to Westport, CT. On May 6, 1957, the last episode of the entire run of Lucy ended with this episode: the plot has Lucy volunteering as chairwoman of the Westport Historical Society’s “Yankee Doodle Day Celebration.” (This still exists today in modified form). The center of the show involves Ricky dedicating the unveiling of the Minuteman statue, in reality Lucy in disguise after she had accidentally smashed the statue. (1)
